Many thanks to those who braved the mean streets of Chapel Hill at dusk to help us celebrate the Feast of the Epiphany. The parish is reminded that there are two jugs of Holy Water available along with small mason jars for you to take home Holy Water to bless your homes. There is also a small basket of blessed chalk available for you to inscribe the traditional Epiphany blessing above your doorway.

The jugs of Holy Water will remain up and available until both are fully exhausted so please feel free to top off your supply at home as needed. Similarly, the basket of chalk will remain until everyone has a piece to take home for use.

The traditional inscription bares a dual meaning and should read 20+M+C+B+26 which translated means the year 2026 and the initials of the three magi, C-Caspar, M-Melchior, B-Balthasar, and the Latin phrase “Christos Mansionem Benedicat” or “May Christ bless this house.”
